Our journey online begins
The digital space is ready, but we are still busy behind the scenes working with our manufacturers in Portugal. Our rule is simple: if we don’t want to dance in it, we won’t launch it. Follow our journey from concept to reality.
A fine balance: Getting the feel right
We are deep in the technical stage of choosing the right insole - a delicate balancing act between cushioning for comfort and essential 'floor feel.' We'd love your input on this final piece of the puzzle.
Portugal: seeing the first sample come together
Months of design work and 3D renders led up to one moment: holding the first physical Mk1 sample in our hands on a Portuguese factory floor. We tried them on, danced in them, and came back with a small list of refinements and a lot more confidence.
Why we built our own
The dance shoes we kept buying never quite worked. Too little spin, too little slide, never the right balance. So we started making our own. This is why GRAYAMZ exists, and the four things a dance shoe has to get right.
First fit: a bit loose
The first GRAYAMZ Mk1 sample on our feet, after six months of waiting. A slightly loose fit, and the first time we have stood in our own shoe.
